VOLUNTEERING
...making skills meaningful!
Both residential and non-residential volunteers contribute to the life of the community through their voluntary work. This may include cooking. cleaning, gardening, running courses, or maybe computer/administrative duties. Everyone's time is valued in supporting the development of Tsepagme Centre.
HOW TO VOLUNTEER
Decide on how much time you'd like to give - an hour a week or maybe a day a month. Consider the skills you already have and make a list. Then please contact us so that we can discuss how to match your skills to the work currently available. You may also learn skills you never knew you had!
BECOMING A RESIDENT
...thinking of moving in?
Living in a residential Dharma Centre means that you are surrounded by spiritual people living in accordance with the Kadampa way of life - cherishing others by putting Buddha's teachings into practice.
THE RESIDENTS...
The residential community at Tsepagme Buddhist Centre is made up of Kadampa Buddhist practitioners who are either ordained and lay. Some may work in the Centre (either in a sponsored role or on a voluntary basis), whilst others may work outside the Centre engaging in various types of work or career.
Although the community usually has Buddhist residents, it is not actually necessary to be a Buddhist to live here. All we ask is that you refrain from smoking or drinking alcohol on the premises and respect those practising the Buddhist way of life. We are a vegetarian community, so this would also need to be taken into account before applying for further details/interview.
